We have a great baby sitter that we have been using for two years. She is great with our three young boys. She started working for us while in high-school and she now attends USF in Tampa.
She is also Type I Diabetic and has been all of her life. When you are Type I Diabetic it’s really important that if you pass out or are in an accident that people know your condition. Most wear medical alert bracelets. Our sitter didn’t like wearing one and was always misplacing it so she came up with a clever alternative:
She had her medical alert information tattooed on here arm. She tells me this is becoming all the rage with Type I Diabetics. Her brother is getting one and her father is also considering it.
I find this fascinating from an identity stand-point.
